REEP 2010 Census Toolkit
Dear Teachers:
REEP teachers at all locations will be teaching about Census 2010 in level appropriate ways and incorporating level appropriate language skill objectives. The general content knowledge goal is to ensure that REEP students understand:
- What the census is (all levels),
- Why the census is important to them as individuals, as REEP students, as parents, and as community members in Arlington County (all levels),
- How to complete the census form (intermediate and advanced students), and
- How to get assistance completing the census form (all levels).

REMEMBER! Census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to every household in the United States in March 2010. You must provide information that is accurate for your household as of April 1, 2010.

A few points:
-- A Census Taker will promptly show an official Census badge and will often be carrying a Census bag.
-- A Census Taker will never ask to be enter your home.
-- A Census Taker will never ask questions that are not on the form.
-- Residents should never give information that is not asked on the form, i.e. never give social security number or credit card information, for example.
* If residents are uncertain whether or not the person is a real Census taker, there is a link to Census Center phone numbers that can be called to confirm whether or not the visitor is a Census taker.
